April 17, 2019, will mark the 30th World Haemophilia Day!

HCD is delighted to stand side by side with its charity partners to celebrate World Haemophilia Day.

World Haemophilia day is an international awareness day for haemophilia and other bleeding disorders. It is held every April 17th, which so happens to be the birth date of Frank Schnabel, the founder of the World Federation of Haemophilia.

This year, The WHD campaign will feature examples of WFH outreach initiatives such as organising regional workshops, raising awareness of bleeding through media coverage or training health professionals and collecting data. It will combine these examples with submissions from our community about outreach efforts in their own regions or ideas about what would be helpful for future initiatives.

HCD Economics is committed to our continuing partnership with WFH and in support of these 2019 objectives, we will be collecting socioeconomic data informing the wider audience about the patient’s experience and the reality of living with haemophilia. We will also continue to provide speakers and participation in educational events that widen awareness of the insights our data endorses.

Everybody at HCD extends their best wishes on World Haemophilia Day!
